Water quenches a flaming fire because repentance takes away the need for punishment, and alms atone for sins when they are an administration of the blood atonement of Jesus Christ (the love of God invested wisely so to speak). It was the love of God that caused the shedding of the blood on the cross for those whom would receive it (be redeemed by it), but let me remind you Peter that Ecclesiasticus also teaches that, "One hour’s misery wipes out all memory of delight, and a man’s end reveals his true character." Ser 11:27 Given this point what are people to think of your character given your last words to the news group before you left?
Yet you must understand Peter that alms atoning for sins can only occur if Christ has imputed his righteousness into us. In that case the giving of the alms is not by our righteousness, but instead it occurs by the righteousness of Jesus Christ. When his righteousness is in us and when it produces fruit, then God can overlook an offense. Let us not however make the mistake of the Pharisees in thinking that our righteousness comes from adherence to the law because Christ is the righteousness that is apart from the law (because he is the judge over the law).
Now this righteousness apart from the law has been clearly revealed, and it is known as faith that comes from God as a gift to those whom he loves. Those whom he loves whom receive this gift of faith receive it as a result of Christ administering his blood before the throne of God as High Priest. Thus the faith comes as an administration of the blood of the lamb, and thus so to do its works or its fruits. I am not calling David an idolater because of his writing concerning a righteousness apart from the law, but yet the law in this case is written about its judge (that judge is Jesus Christ).
Given the last words to your news group...well, your group is a den of vipers...I call them the way I see them...modern religion hasn't found a way to confront the lie...modern religion is the lie...we avoid it at all costs because they are the majority...Better they hear it from me, than at the end...when body and soul are destroyed. Is it ethical to let them continue on their lie?
Oh, and as far as last words are concerned...I've tried to return...you haven't printed my email.
